Squirrelz Stash Bash: Texture Time

This month, we wanted to whip out those animal/insect/all creatures great and small stamps that we've been squirreling away and pair them with texture and glitter pastes!

Squirrelz Stash Bash: Loving Hopping With Friends

It's a new year, but guess what: we all still have supplies we've been squirreling away so we've decided to keep hopping for another year! As a reminder, this is our hop where we make a project using a theme and technique or supply that we've randomly chosen. Who knows: we might experiment with that some this year.... The challenge is fun, but the best part is getting to use some of those supplies we've had squirreled away for who knows how long!

This month, we were excited to show love for our friends and family! To allow us a pretty liberal use of other supplies, we decided to focus on incorporating ink blending. This is one of my favorite techniques and I was thrilled to pair it with some unused supplies!

This month we were incredibly kind to ourselves. It's such a busy time of year, we wanted to make sure this was fun, not stressful. The theme would be Holiday/Winter/New Year (something we are all firmly entrenched in) and we decided to choose whatever technique(s) most appealed to us. I had a lot of fun with this!

I have to admit that I started out stymied. I was very excited about the theme (leaves!). The technique we chose is masking, one I don't have much experience with. My few attempts at it made me label it as "fiddly", to put it mildly. And I felt the time crunch of a busy event schedule, making the idea of complicated masks even more stressful! But inspiration finally came calling!

When we picked the theme, I almost couldn't get to my craft table fast enough! I knew just the retro reboot I wanted to create! What I was slightly less prepared for was the sheer amount of inspiration that would overcome me! I went in planning on one card and walked away from the whole project with four!

It's time once again for my favorite challenge: The Squirrelz Stash Bash! We had a little moment of surprise when we realized we've never actually had a squirrel theme! Cue the dramatic gasp! To give us all some of that sweet, sweet wiggle room we crave though, we decided to expand the main theme to "rodents". We also decided rainbows would be a technique/supply/accent to work with (and a little alliteration never hurt nobody). I was giddy as a particular thought bubbled right up to the surface for me. But how would I incorporate it into a card?

My fellow Squirrlz and I have had a busy summer, so we all decided to take a couple of months off. But we are back with a new challenge! We decided this month we wanted to close out the season with a theme focused on summer or travel and we wanted to incorporate die cuts! I absolutely LOVE travel and knew I would have a wealth of supplies to choose from! So what did I do?

The Squirrel Squad and I are back again this month with a new challenge! This month, we decided to CASE another Squirrel Sister's card! CASE is an acronym  that stands for Copy And Selectively Edit. We could choose whichever card we wanted from our designated casee, so you'll see a variety of techniques and themes employed today! And I don't think I'm alone when I say the excitement is two-fold for us! Not only are we excited to see each other's projects, but we're excited to see which card of ours was chosen to be CASEd!

The Squirrel Squad and I are back again this month with a new challenge! This month, we focused on stamping or die cutting along the edge. The technique was die cutting or stamping on the edge. This is another technique that I was interested in, but had somehow never gotten around to trying. To top it all off, the theme was spring and boy was this whole card not easy on me!
