I wanted to make sure I posted this recipe well in advance of St. Patrick's Day so you'd have time to get all the ingredients and plan your own feast! Homemade corned beef is unbelievably delicious and so so easy to make! How easy?
Last month, for the 14 Days of Love Series, I had the chance to create 4 cell phone wallpapers as a free gift for you, a way of saying thank you for reading! I loved it so much I thought it would be a lot of fun to create a set of three in the spirit of St. Patrick's Day!
I don't know about you, but for me March is all about St. Patrick's Day! Maybe it's because one of my best friends celebrates her birthday that day, although I was a big fan of it before then. Maybe I like the idea of everyone being Irish for a day. I'm definitely a huge fan of the color green so maybe that's it. Whatever the reason, it just seemed fitting that this Wellness Wednesday is a collection of songs that will help get your blood pumping and your Irish up for a good workout! There's some references to luck, direct references to Ireland, and a whole lot of strong fiddle work! Now go get a good workout in and then celebrate with a pint of green beer at the pub or a delicious meal of corned beef and cabbage!
I'm now wrapping up the second month of the 365 challenge and, while I don't have as many pictures to share this time, I'm not actually deterred by that. I took a lot of photographic chances this month and have been pushing the boundaries of what I like to do in post-production too (one or two of these are full-on artistic efforts). So having less to show here just means I've challenged myself more, as well as raised the bar for what I think is strong photography and my style. Hooray for achieving project goals!
As before, I won't bore you with captions, but if you have questions about any of the pictures, just let me know in the comments. And, as always, all pictures are clickable if you would like to take a closer look at them. Now, in no particular order:
Hi everyone! Just a quick check in since I haven't posted all week: I've been on a brief hiatus while I work on some behind-the-scenes stuff to keep making this blog better! Be ready for a new look to some old favorites (and the blog as a whole) unrolling over the next few weeks! I'm really excited about these plans and I hope you'll love them as much as I've loved working on them!
Lately I have been obsessed with confetti. Every time I think about it, I get so happy! Here's the thing: confetti is always colorful, always cheerful, and always a sure sign of celebration. And, as it turns out, it is ridiculously easy to make your own home concoction of it! Now you can have custom colors, shapes, and a limitless supply!
That photo is the one that started it all. A multiple day trip to Vegas was an amazing opportunity for me. It was the first trip with a nice camera (replacing my well-over-decade-old and dying point-n-shoot), in a city that I'd barely explored with a multitude of photo opportunities at every turn. My first photographic priority when we returned (besides getting them all uploaded and sorted) was signing up for the Adobe Creative Cloud so I could get back into Photoshop. My mind was instantly buzzing with touching up photos and making those memories truly shine!
When I restarted my blog, a major thing I vowed to myself was that I would be honest with anyone reading it. If I made a big mistake, I would share it. If my photos were weak, I wouldn't beat myself up; I would just try to do a better job next time. Since I am considering this a lifestyle blog and the blog is part of my life, I wanted to aim to make sure it is an honest portrayal. So, with that in mind....
