I love dried apricots! They are delicious, have an amazing texture, are readily available, and have lots of health benefits. I love snacking on them straight out of the bag, but sometimes even something this delicious can taste even more exciting! Enter melted chocolate! As an added bonus is due to their shape and their chocolate crowns, they look like acorns to me! Ready to make your own? You'll need:
- Almond Bark, Wilton's Candy Melts, or similar candy coating
- microwave-safe bowl
- parchment paper
This is another super simple recipe that takes no time to whip up! Fill your bowl with your chocolate for melting (for technique, check out this post), melt it down, then just dip your apricots halfway into the chocolate....
.... and place on the parchment paper to set!
You can slide them into the fridge or freezer to set, or just let the chocolate set on its own. Now you have a delicious snack for when your sweet tooth is just a little bit stronger than fruit alone can resolve. This also makes a great potluck dish for things like Friendsgiving! Let me know if you make these!
