Really. That's all I said. But, as those of you who have been here know, that's all it takes. If you're new around here. please let me explain: I get an idea and immediately I pack my bags, grab my passport, and book a direct flight to Obsessalvania.
That cup cozy was all I could think of and research on Ravelry and comb my patterns for. And with every picture, I immediately decided that none of them would work with this yarn. This perfect yarn. None. In the entire universe there was not one pattern that would make me happy.
Now that you have seen the perfection, you want your own too! Well here's how you get it. You need:
- This pattern and the items she calls for
- Worsted weight yarn (I used the Lion Brand Heartland Tweed, colorway: Black Canyon Tweed)
- My adaptations
First, I cast on only 30 stitches. After I knit the first two rows that established the pattern, I knit the set of two 14 more times then finished the pattern just as she did. That's it!
The dark news out of all this is I still have yarn left over. But I think I'll just make however many more of these cozies I can to use up the yarn! It's luscious, but I just don't want to put it back in my stash. That feels like it would defeat the challenge.
