You know something? The Finish It February Challenge has a good heart, but is a bad idea for a blog. Yes, I'm working on something. Yes, I'm trying to finish it. But there's nothing to really share. I'm working on the Alien Illusion scarf discussed here, but the only difference from pictures then and now is that it's longer. I also have to be honest with myself: there's a reason there are unfinished projects and the reason is I get a smidge bored with stuff. I like when I finish things, but I also just really love the thrill of starting things, especially when it's something that I can finish in a very short span of time!
The other reason this has been a bad idea is I really like Valentine's day! Yes, I made some Valentine's day cards last month, but seeing more and more hearts and love and everything else popping up on Pinterest, Instagram, and just everywhere made me want to do more. What's a girl to do when she has a challenge (that she IS keeping, for the record), but she's ready to move on and work on something else?
Yep, if you guessed creating some printable Valentine's cards, congratulations! You've spent a good deal of time with me and this blog! These are great for printing out on a heavier paper and then just attacking with a paper cutter or scissors (everything is lined up perfectly for a paper guillotine)! They are socially acceptable to give to those that you work with that you'd like to be nice to, but you don't want them to get the wrong impression. The back is completely blank so you have room to just sign it, or write a note if you are so inclined! Not into Valentine's Day? These work as just a positive note to put on their desk or in their box. Honestly, these will work for anyone in that vein of thought! Put them in your child's lunch bag (or your significant other's lunch bag). Tape them to your mirror. Print them out for your journal or scrapbook. Let me know if you think of other fun ways to use them!
