I Had Enough Yarn!

The Ariel Gloves are finished and they are truly exactly as I envisioned!  I love them so!  Pictures and final details tomorrow!!!!

4 Needles, a Ball, and a Dream

Ariel_3 I definitely making a good amount of progress on Ariel Glove number 2 and I'm starting to worry less about yarn!  Let's hope the knitting gods aren't just leading me on!

Seven Random Things

I said I wanted to start posting more, but a picture of one pattern repeat of the Ariel gloves just seems silly.  Instead, I provide you with this meme that's been floating around.

  1. I'm a smidge away from 29 and I just ate my first Twinkie the other day.  I don't know if that's all that odd or not, but it kind of seems weird.
  2. The quickest way to cheer me up?  Take me to buy a book.  Craft supplies are a close second and cooking implements are a tight third.
  3. Speaking of books, I judge books by their covers.  If it's on the bargain shelf and the cover looks neat,  I snap it up.  I apply this to cds as well.  Surprisingly, I've had really good luck with this.
  4. I will puzzle over stupid things for years.  Like the Wonderbra "Lifts and separates" motto.  Lifting's fine, but separating?  Don't you want them pushed together for cleavage?  Yes, seriously: this has puzzled me for years.
  5. I will happily sit down and read a cookbook like a novel.  And when I say read it, I mean really read it.  It's the main way I've picked up techniques, appropriate food substitutions, and a feel for what flavors go together.
  6. I will fall in love with a song because of one turn of phrase or if it uses an unusual-for-the-genre instrument.
  7. I don't know how to ride a bike and I feel like at this point, I'm a bit old to be skinning knees and tearing up jeans.  It doesn't stop me from coveting those pretty, retro-look bikes, though.

In conclusion, I'm a freak and have issues.  At least I admit it.

Miss Me?

Ariel_2 Well, I had my wisdom teeth pulled last Monday, so that gave me some knitting time!  I have completed the first Ariel glove and I love it!  I hope I have enough yarn for the second one!

I also hope to get back to some sort of regular blogging schedule at some point.  Wish me luck!
